Elder Sign is a cooperative card and dice game based on the Cthulhu Mythos of horror writer H.P. Lovecraft and on Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game. It is published by Fantasy Flight Games, which also produces the related Cthulhu Mythos games Arkham Horror, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game, Mansions of Madness and Eldritch Horror. Elder Sign has been in print since 2011 and supports one to eight players working together rather than competing against each other, with a medium level of chance from dice resolution. Setup takes roughly five to ten minutes and a full game runs one to two hours. Players cooperate to explore rooms of a museum, gathering the Elder Signs of the title, in an effort to seal away a monstrous Ancient One before it awakens and destroys the world.
