King Arthur's Knights is an Arthurian-themed board game published by Chaosium in 1978, in which two to five players take on the roles of knights of the Round Table performing chivalrous quests across Arthurian Britain. Participants travel the game board in search of holy objects and other treasures, rescue damsels in distress, and confront and defeat monsters encountered along the way, accumulating honor and rewards for successfully completed quests. The game draws directly on the medieval Arthurian legend cycle, the body of stories concerning King Arthur, his court at Camelot and the knights sworn to his Round Table, translating its familiar episodes of questing knighthood into board game objectives and chance-driven encounters. As a 1978 release, it appeared during Chaosium's early years as a publisher, before the company became best known for role-playing games such as Call of Cthulhu.
