Dungeonquest, sometimes spelled Dungeon Quest, is a fantasy adventure board game originally published in Sweden in 1985 by Alga AB under the title Drakborgen, and later published in English by Games Workshop in 1987. Designed by Dan Glimne and Jakob Bonds, it sends players' adventurers alone into a sprawling dragon-guarded dungeon in search of treasure, drawing tiles and cards that can bring sudden death as easily as riches, in a game deliberately built around the risk of a character dying before ever reaching the exit. Its reputation for punishing, high-mortality dungeon crawling has kept it a well-known cult title among fantasy board game players since its original release.
