Dicemaster: Wilds of Doom

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Dicemaster: Wilds of Doom is a collectible dice game supplement released in 1996 by Iron Crown Enterprises, expanding the base game Dicemaster: Cities of Doom. It is designed for two players who share a single combined set of dice representing warriors, monsters and equipment, in the collectible-game format popular in the 1990s alongside collectible card games. The Wilds of Doom expansion adds twenty-six new dice to the pool and intensifies the monster battles at the heart of the game by introducing multi-round creature combat, special dice reserved for powerful enemies, new turn-limiting rules meant to keep matches from stalling, and additional weapon upgrades for player characters. These additions build directly on the original game's dice-drafting and combat mechanics while adding enough new material that reviewers and players generally regarded the expansion as meaningfully increasing the game's overall complexity compared to the base set.
