Vineta is a strategy board game released in 2008 by Winning Moves Games USA as part of the publisher's Immortal Eyes series, designed by Fabiano Onca, Mauricio Miyaji and Mauricio V. Gibrin. It draws loosely on the legend of Vineta, a city said to have sunk beneath the Baltic Sea, and casts two to six players as Norse gods competing to submerge eight of the fabled city's nine districts under tidal waves while trying to rescue their own followers before the flood reaches them. A typical game takes about ten minutes to set up and thirty to sixty minutes to play, is aimed at players twelve and older, and calls on medium-weight planning, risk assessment and memory skills as players balance offense against the need to protect their own people. The game is now out of print.
