The Authority Role-Playing Game

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

The Authority Role-Playing Game is a tabletop superhero role-playing game published by Guardians of Order in 2004, created by Jesse Scoble, John Chambers, John Snead and Matt Forbeck. It is based on Warren Ellis's comic book series The Authority and uses a modified version of the Silver Age Sentinels rules system as its foundation, raising the power levels of characters to match the series' large-scale superhuman action and switching the core resolution mechanic to twelve-sided dice. Players take on the roles of powerful superhuman characters in the tradition of the source comic, using the adapted Silver Age Sentinels engine to resolve combat, feats and story action at a scale built for the Authority's larger-than-life cast.
