Star Trek: The Adventure Game

Star Trek: The Adventure Game is a 1985 board game published by West End Games and based on the original 1960s Star Trek television series. Set within the Organian Treaty Zone, the neutral buffer region the Organians impose between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire after the events of the episode Errand of Mercy, the game casts players as starship captains maneuvering, exploring and contesting that contested frontier space. West End Games released the title during a period when it also held the license for Star Trek's tabletop role playing game line, and this board game offered a shorter, more self contained way to play out Federation versus Klingon conflict without the ongoing character development and campaign structure of the full role playing game.
