Monsterpocalypse

Monsterpocalypse is a kaiju-themed collectible miniatures game published by Privateer Press, in which two players command giant monsters and city-smashing military forces across a tabletop battlefield inspired by giant-monster movies. The game has been released across several thematic series over the years, including Rise, I Chomp NY, All Your Base, Monsterpocalypse Now and the current Big in Japan series, each adding new monsters and units to the game's roster, along with a standalone Voltron-themed expansion that launched in 2010. A 2018 reboot overhauled the game's mechanics and introduced larger unpainted miniature figures intended for players to assemble and paint themselves, shifting the line toward the hobby-painting culture common to other collectible miniatures games. The basic format pits two players' monster forces against each other, though the game also supports double-monster battles for larger contests.
