Hotel is a real estate simulation board game designed by Denys Fisher and published by Milton Bradley in 1986, known in North America under the title Hotels and later re-released by Asmodee in 2014 as Hotel Tycoon. Players move around the board buying resort hotel properties, then roll a special die to earn permission to construct buildings and additional facilities on the properties they own. Once a property is developed, the owning player places an entrance marker on the relevant board squares and collects a fee whenever an opponent's token lands there, echoing the property buying and rent collecting structure familiar from Monopoly while adding a distinct three dimensional building element in which specific facilities must be constructed in a set sequence. The game supports two to four players, runs for roughly one hundred and twenty minutes, and is recommended for players aged eight and up, with the overall goal being to drive competing hoteliers into bankruptcy while remaining financially solvent oneself.
