Endeavor: Deep Sea

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Endeavor: Deep Sea is a strategy board game for one to four players designed by Carl de Visser and Jarratt Gray, published jointly in 2024 by Burnt Island Games and Grand Gamers Guild. Players take on the role of the head of an independent marine research institute, competing to develop sustainable ocean projects while trying to preserve the fragile balance of marine life within the game's shared ecosystem. A typical game runs sixty to one hundred twenty minutes. The game is the third in a design lineage that began with the original Endeavor in 2009 and continued with Endeavor: Age of Sail in 2018, both built by the same design team, and it carries over that series' core worker placement and area control mechanics while shifting its theme from historical colonial trade to modern marine conservation, a change reviewers have noted gives the newer game a distinctly different tone from its predecessors.
