Dungeon World

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Dungeon World is a tabletop fantasy roleplaying game created by designers Sage LaTorra and Adam Koebel. It runs on the Powered by the Apocalypse engine, a rules system first built for Apocalypse World and later reused in games such as Monsterhearts, and the design is marketed as pairing an old school fantasy feel with streamlined modern mechanics. Its rules text was released under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License, allowing other designers to build on or reprint the system. The game was funded through Kickstarter, where it raised just over eighty thousand dollars from about twenty four hundred backers before its release. A second edition of Dungeon World is reported to be in development.
