Doctor Who, Battles in Time

Doctor Who, Battles in Time is a trading card game and fortnightly magazine originally produced by the partwork publisher GE Fabbri, who acquired the license to produce Battles in Time. It first appeared in test regions in mid-April 2006, launched nationwide in the UK on 20 September 2006, and ran fortnightly until its final original-run issue, number 70, on 13 May 2009. Each issue paired collectible cards with rules for card games playable by 2 players, comic strips, episode guides and monster fold-outs. Two named variations were Bunch of Fives, played with a previously built deck of 20 character cards per player and no bonus cards, where the winner of each comparison sent a card to the bottom of their draw pile while the loser removed a card from play, and Bonus Buster, the same game with bonus cards added, using decks of at least 15 cards with up to 2 bonus cards each.
