Cyberpunk is a tabletop role-playing game set in a dystopian science fiction future, designed by Mike Pondsmith and first published by R. Talsorian Games in 1988. The game uses its own Interlock System of rules, later revised into the Fuzion system for some editions, to let players create and run characters navigating a corporate-dominated, technology-soaked world. It is best known through its later editions, Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk Red, which are commonly used to distinguish the game from the broader cyberpunk literary genre it draws its name and aesthetic from. Subsequent editions followed the first over more than three decades, including Cyberpunk V3.0 in 2005 and Cyberpunk Red in 2020, keeping the game continuously in print and expanding its setting, rules and supporting fiction for new generations of players.
