The Great Dalmuti is a shedding-type card game published by Wizards of the Coast in February 1995 and designed by Richard Garfield, best known for creating Magic: The Gathering, with artwork by Margaret Organ-Kean. It is played with an eighty-card deck made up of two combined forty-card decks and is intended for four to eight players, who race to be the first to empty their hand of cards each round. Finishing position in one round determines social rank in the next, from the Great Dalmuti at the top down through lesser ranks to the Great Peon at the bottom, with higher-ranked players holding privileges such as forcing lower-ranked players to hand over their best cards. The game was named Mensa's Best New Mind Game of 1995 and has remained popular as an accessible, rank-shifting party game for casual and family play alike.
