Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game

Modern Conquest and War Games

Star Wars: X-Wing is a miniature war game designed by Jay Little and produced by Fantasy Flight Games, first released at Gen Con on 17 August 2012. Players command squadrons of starfighters from the Star Wars universe in tactical ship-to-ship dogfights. Each round both players secretly give every ship a movement order, then resolve the orders together while trying to shoot down enemy craft. The game is described as easy to learn and quick to play, taking between fifteen and sixty minutes from setup to the end of the battle. The first edition core set includes one X-wing and two TIE fighter miniatures, and many expansion packs released in waves added further ships and pilots. A second edition with new rules, templates and markers was announced in May 2018 and released that September, though the physical models carry over.
