International Cricket is a two-player tabletop simulation of a one-day cricket match, published in 1985 by the British company Lambourne Games. Each player picks a team from a deck of 120 cards representing leading international cricketers of the mid-1980s. Play runs ball by ball: the bowler rolls two red dice and reads the result on the bowler's card, the batter rolls two blue dice and reads the result on the batter's card, and the two results are cross-referenced to give anything from no run to six runs, or a possible dismissal that sends the roll to further charts such as the Out Chart. A fifth white die supplies modifiers for pitch, weather and fielding, and a separate card tracks the balls and overs bowled. The game grew out of Terry Goodchild's dice-and-chart designs One-Day International and its extension Test Match Replay, which were combined for the 1985 release. Lambourne issued a simplified County Cricket in 1987, and Laser Beam Games republished International Cricket in 1992. It also carries a special set of rules for Bodyline. Reviewers described it as a game aimed first at cricket fans.
