Guadalcanal (1992 game)

Modern Conquest and War Games

Guadalcanal is a board wargame published by Avalon Hill as part of its Smithsonian American History Series. It simulates the naval battles fought near the Solomon Islands in the Second World War and is primarily designed for two players. Its scenarios cover the naval battles of the Coral Sea, Guadalcanal and Santa Cruz, while land combat is abstracted out of the game. It uses the same game design as the Smithsonian edition of Midway, so players familiar with that title meet the same system applied to a different campaign.
