Combined Arms (game)

Modern Conquest and War Games

Combined Arms, subtitled Combat Operations in the 20th Century, is a two-player board wargame published by Simulations Publications Inc. in 1974, covering a range of mid-twentieth-century combat engagements rather than a single battle. It shipped both as a pull-out game in issue 46 of SPI Strategy and Tactics magazine and as a standalone boxed set, offering six scenarios, one hypothetical and five historical, spanning the 1939 German invasion of Poland through the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Players coordinate infantry, armor and artillery forces together rather than any single arm alone, reflecting the title namesake combined-arms doctrine across radically different eras of mechanized warfare.
