Catan Card Game

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

The Catan Card Game, originally titled The Settlers of Catan: The Card Game, is a card game adaptation of the Catan board game and a member of the Catan series of games developed by Klaus Teuber. It was published in German by Kosmos and in English by Mayfair Games. It is a game for two players, though the rules allow players to share one set, or each to have their own set as intended for tournament play. Each player controls a principality made of cards: two settlements, a road between them and six resource regions. Players roll dice to collect brick, grain, lumber, ore, wool and gold, trade with the opponent or the bank, and expand with roads, settlements, cities and improvements to score victory points. Luck plays a smaller part than in the board game, and seven expansions have been released.
