Save Doctor Lucky

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Save Doctor Lucky is a party board game for three to seven players, designed by James Ernest and first published in 2000 by Cheapass Games, with later editions from Paizo Publishing and Truant Spiele. The theme is a humorous twist on Kill Doctor Lucky: instead of hunting the victim, players race to rescue Doctor Lucky while the Titanic sinks. On their turns players collect items from the ship's passageways, while opponents play failure cards to block their rescue attempts. Its listed mechanics are hand management, map reduction and take that. A game takes about half an hour, the suggested age is ten and over, and Board Game Matcher shows a community rating of 2.9 out of 5 from 1,199 ratings.
