Omaha hold 'em, also called Omaha holdem or simply Omaha, is a community card poker game that resembles Texas hold 'em. Each player is dealt four private cards and must make the best hand using exactly two of them together with exactly three of the five shared community cards. It is played with a standard 52-card French deck. The exact origin of the game is unknown, but casino executive Robert Turner is credited with first bringing Omaha into a casino setting when he introduced it to Bill Boyd, who offered it at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas under the name Nugget Hold'em. The 8-or-better version of Omaha is the O game in the H.O.R.S.E. mixed-game rotation.
