Knights of Camelot is a fantasy board game published by TSR in 1980 and set in the reign of King Arthur. Each player takes the part of a newly made knight who rides out to fight evil and right wrongs, collecting Chivalry Points and Virtue Points in the hope of one day joining the Knights of the Round Table. A knight's worth is measured by his Virtue Level, found by dividing Chivalry Points by Virtue Points, so that a lower number marks a more virtuous knight. The box holds a map, a 36-page rule book, die-cut counters, 75 Knight cards, 15 King cards, 30 Lady cards, three dice and a sheet of reference tables. It was designed by Glenn and Kenneth Rahman. At the 1980 Charles S. Roberts Awards it was a finalist for Best Pre-Twentieth Century Game and for Best Fantasy or Science-Fiction Board Game. Reviewers praised the Virtue Level mechanism, while one noted that random encounters drawn from finite tables could grow repetitive.
