Demonworld

Modern Conquest and War Games

Demonworld is a tabletop wargame played with 15 millimeter metal miniatures in an original fantasy setting, first released in 1999 by the German gaming company Hobby Products. Armies are built from several playable factions, including two human nations called the Empire and Thain, along with elves, dwarves, dark elves, orcs and goblins, plus a distinctive faction known as the Icelords of Isthak. Each faction fields its own troops, war machines, named heroes, spellcasting wizards and towering creatures called behemoths, giving every side a different feel on the tabletop. The game eventually went out of print, but the license was purchased and the game re-released by Ral Partha Europe, announced on June 8, 2011, and by 2014 a third edition was being produced by Fasa Games Inc. Across its several editions Demonworld has kept the same basic identity as a mass-battle fantasy miniatures wargame built around faction-specific units and large-scale combat.
