Buckaroo!

Dexterity and Physical Skill Games

Buckaroo! is a children's balancing game first dated 1970 for two to four players, with a session lasting about ten minutes and a suggested age of four and up. Players take turns loading items onto the back of a plastic mule, a saddle, a shovel, a bottle and so on, and the mule is rigged to buck and throw its whole load if the weight tips it too far. The player who makes the mule kick is the single loser of the round, which is why it is classed among stacking and balancing games with a single loser. The design is credited to Julius Cooper, and the game has been published under many imprints around the world, among them Hasbro, Milton Bradley, Tomy and Estrela. In some markets it is sold as Ali Baba with a camel in place of the mule.
