Super Fun 21 is a casino table game that changes the rules of blackjack in the player's favour on some points and against the player on others. It is played with a standard 52-card deck, with aces counting one or eleven, face cards counting ten and the player trying to get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. The player bets first, receives two cards face up, and may hit or stand against a dealer who shows one card. The variant adds several bonuses: a hand of six or more cards totalling 20 wins automatically, even against a dealer blackjack, a hand may be split up to four times, doubling down is allowed at any point, and five or more cards totalling 21 pays double. To balance these, a natural blackjack pays only 6 to 5 instead of the usual 3 to 2. A high-odds side bet on a suited blackjack exists but is rarely offered. The game was protected by a United States patent issued in 1999 to the Las Vegas gaming consultant Howard F. Grossman.
