MechWarrior: Dark Age

Modern Conquest and War Games

MechWarrior: Dark Age is a collectible miniatures wargame set in the BattleTech universe. Board Game Matcher dates it to 2002 and credits Kevin Barrett, Matt Robinson and Paul Nobles as designers. Two or more players, up to ten, command mechs, vehicles and infantry in combined-arms combat, and a session lasts around an hour. Its distinctive rule is heat: a mech tracks the heat it builds up, and that heat adjusts its combat statistics as it acts. The game uses action points and variable player powers, and is classed under the collectible components, dice, miniatures, science fiction and wargame categories.
