Legends of the Three Kingdoms

Deduction and Guessing Games

Legends of the Three Kingdoms, also known as San Guo Sha, is a card game for two to ten players, listed in 2007 under the designer name KayaK, with an English edition from Yoka Games. It is based on the Chinese classical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms and shares many rules with Bang!. Players take on the identities of celebrated heroes such as Zhang Fei, Cao Cao and Zhuge Liang, combining role play, battle and deception. Differences from Bang! include additional kingdom-linked skills for the Monarch, weapons with their own powers, a card to borrow another player's weapon, a card to cancel other cards, and counter-clockwise play. Sessions run about forty minutes. This version has since been phased out in favour of War of the Three Kingdoms.
