Zombie Dice

Games of Chance

Zombie Dice is a press-your-luck party dice game from 2010 in which every player takes the part of a zombie hunting for brains. A turn begins by shaking a cup that holds thirteen dice, which stand for the zombie's victims, and drawing three of them without looking before rolling them. Each die face shows brains, shotgun blasts or runners. Brains are the points, a runner lets the same die be rolled again if the player chooses to push on, and three shotgun blasts end the turn with nothing scored, so the whole game is a running decision about when to stop. The first player to collect thirteen brains wins. The game suits any number of players from two upward and a game runs ten to twenty minutes. The set also supports a single-player variant that sets aside the six green dice, and the game has expansions called Zombie Dice 2: Double Feature and Zombie Dice 3: School Bus. It was created by Steve Jackson and Alex Fernandez and won the Origins Award for Best Family, Party or Children's Game in 2010.
