Star Wars: The Card Game

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Star Wars: The Card Game is a Living Card Game produced by Fantasy Flight Games and published from 2012 to 2018. It is a game for two players set in the time of the original Star Wars trilogy, with one player commanding the light side of the Force and the other the dark side. Each player builds a deck by choosing objective cards, and every objective brings a fixed set of five player cards into the deck. During play a player deploys units to a tableau, attacks the opponent's objectives, defends their own and commits cards to the Force struggle. The dark side wins if the Death Star dial reaches twelve, while the light side wins by destroying three dark side objectives first. Content arrived in cycles of six force packs with larger deluxe expansions between them, and the Balance of the Force expansion allowed multiplayer games.
