Force of Will is a trading card game first released in Japan in December 2012 by Force of Will Co., Ltd. and brought to English-speaking countries in 2013. Since 2019 it has been developed by TCG Co., Ltd. and released by Eye Spy Productions. Its mechanics resemble those of Magic: The Gathering, and it has its own tournament circuit called Grand Prix. Each player builds a main deck of 40 to 60 cards made of resonators, chants, additions and regalia, plus a separate Magic Stone deck of 10 to 20 cards that produces the resource called Will. The game is built around Ruler cards, which sit in a special zone and can be flipped by performing Judgment into a J-Ruler that fights like a resonator. A player wins by reducing the opponent's life points to zero or when the opponent cannot draw from an empty deck. The cards carry a high fantasy story drawing on myths and fairy tales. Wanderer format is played one against one, while the Arcana Battle Colossus format allows two or more players.
