Black Crusade (role-playing game)

Role-Playing Games

Black Crusade is a tabletop role-playing game published in 2011 that runs on the Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay system. Where earlier games in that line cast players as servants of the Imperium, Black Crusade turns the premise around: the player characters are Chaos-corrupted followers of the dark gods, cast as the antagonists who work against the human empire in the sector. The game has a martial focus, though its characters are not necessarily soldiers. The core rulebook includes a pre-written adventure, and the line grew through a game master kit with a screen, the adventure Hand of Corruption, and four supplements, the Tomes of Fate, Blood, Excess and Decay, each devoted to one of the Ruinous Powers: Tzeentch, Khorne, Slaanesh and Nurgle.
