Nanofictionary is a storytelling card game designed by Andrew Looney and published by Looney Labs in 2002, with the subtitle The card game of telling tiny stories. Three to six players can take part, and a session lasts about twenty minutes. The game runs in three rounds. In the first, players race to collect the four plot elements that make up a story: a setting, characters, a problem and a resolution, each carried on an idea card. In the second round every player tells the story they have assembled to the group. In the third round the players vote for the best stories, and judges watching from the sidelines add further votes. Because the fun lies in the tales told aloud rather than in tactical scoring, it sits with the party and storytelling games, and its listed weight is light, with a suggested minimum age of eight.
