Werewolf: The Apocalypse is a tabletop role-playing game from White Wolf Publishing, part of the Classic World of Darkness series and the second game built on the company's Storyteller System after Vampire: The Masquerade. Players take the part of Garou, werewolves who fight a war on two fronts against the spiritual desolation of urban civilization and the supernatural forces of corruption that seek to bring about the Apocalypse. Characters choose a breed, an auspice set by the lunar phase of their birth, and a tribe, and can shift between five forms from human to wolf. The line ran through second and revised editions until 2004, returned through Onyx Path Publishing with a 20th Anniversary Edition, and led to the Rage collectible card game.
