Shatterzone is a tabletop space opera role-playing game first published in 1993 by West End Games, which kept it in print until the company went bankrupt and the line went out of print in 1997. Precis Intermedia brought it back in 2011. The setting is a galaxy governed by the Consortium of Worlds, a government run from a central region called the Core Worlds, with large megacorporations steering galactic affairs and a crowded capital world named Centaurus. Humans, Glahns and Ishantras hold full citizenship while other races face prejudice. The title refers to the Shatterzone, an uncharted sector of dark matter, energy storms and asteroid fields where cult worshippers, alien exiles called bolters and deep space miners make their living. Players choose from archetypal character templates, and the rules use two ten-sided dice together with a deck of cards called the MasterDeck.
