Dangerous Journeys

Role-Playing Games

Dangerous Journeys was a roleplaying game created by Gary Gygax, the cocreator of the original Dungeons and Dragons system, after his departure from TSR. It was announced as Dangerous Dimensions but renamed after TSR threatened a lawsuit over the similarity of the abbreviation DD to D and D. The series of books was published by Game Designers' Workshop and met with lawsuits from TSR that ultimately ended production. Its design addressed perceived flaws of the older AD&D system, such as the lack of a skill system and rigid class-based weapon restrictions. Books included Mythus, the core rulebook, Mythus Magick and the Mythus Bestiary.
