Rivets is a post-apocalyptic board wargame published by Metagaming Concepts in 1977, designed by Robert Taylor with artwork by Brian Wilson. It is a two-player game of combat between robotic tanks after the human race has been wiped out, with gangs of semi-intelligent robots fighting over spare parts. It was part of the MicroGame line, the minimalist ziplock-bag format that Metagaming pioneered in 1974, and the bag held a 17-page rulebook, an 8 by 14 inch two-color map and 188 thin cardstock counters. Players agree a point value, secretly buy robot models up to it, program movements in secret and reveal them simultaneously, and the winner is the player whose gang survives. Reviewers were divided: Ares called it boring and predictable, while Greg Costikyan named it a personal favorite.
