Balaclava: The Charge of the Light Brigade

Modern Conquest and War Games

Balaclava: The Charge of the Light Brigade, subtitled 25 October 1854, is a board wargame published by Simulations Publications Inc. in 1978. Designed by Thomas Gould, it simulates the Battle of Balaclava during the Crimean War, including the doomed charge of the British Light Brigade against Russian artillery that gave the battle its lasting notoriety, and it was one of four linked games in SPI's Four Battles from the Crimean War quadrigame, a set of related titles sharing a common rules system so that players could learn one ruleset and apply it across all four Crimean War battles depicted in the set.
