Totopoly is a commercial board game themed on a horse race, first published in 1938 by Waddingtons. It uses a double-sided board, with each side covering one half of the game. On the first side each player moves a set of horses around a loop and collects advantage and disadvantage cards that matter later, and each player throws the dice only once a turn, using the same throw for all of their horses. On the second side the horses actually race: bets may be placed on any horse, advantage cards can be played to improve a runner, and any disadvantage cards held must be used before the end of the race. Prize money is paid for first, second and third place. The horses carry the names of the winners of the Lincolnshire Handicap between 1926 and 1937. In the original rules the winner was simply the player whose horse came in first, whatever money had been won.
