Sky Team is a cooperative two-player board game in which the players take the roles of pilot and co-pilot and work together to bring a commercial airliner safely down to a runway. Luc Rémond designed it, first as a single-player game during the COVID-19 lockdowns, and the two-player communication rules were added after playtesting once the lockdown ended. The Québec publisher Le Scorpion Masqué released it in 2023, and a flight commander, Robert Piché, advised on one of its scenarios. Each round both players roll dice hidden from one another and must place them without talking on slots that stand for the plane's axis, speed, flaps, landing gear and radio contact with the control tower. The plane stalls, overshoots or collides with other aircraft if these components are mismanaged, and that ends the game in failure. It won the 2024 Spiel des Jahres and several other awards for best cooperative or best board game of 2023.
