Return to Dark Tower is a cooperative hobby board game for one to four players, with sessions of roughly two hours, released in 2022. It reworks the earlier Dark Tower game of the early 1980s by pairing a physical electronic tower, which generates encounters and reveals secrets without needing a phone app, with an engine-building game played on a map. Players manage resources and positioning, and must decide between cleansing corrupted buildings and exploring further, because the spreading darkness of the tower is a constant risk to everyone at the table. Once the heroes have grown strong enough, play shifts to a sudden-death assault on the tower itself, which acts as the final boss. The game includes a full solo campaign and an optional competitive scoring mode. Its design is credited to a team that includes Isaac Childres, Rob Daviau and Tim Burrell-Saward, and several publishers have issued editions of it, among them Restoration Games and Lucky Duck Games.
