Mission: Red Planet is a board game for three to five players, designed by Bruno Cathala and Bruno Faidutti and dated 2005 by its Board Game Matcher listing. Its theme is a steampunk race to colonise Mars, in which rival mining companies send astronauts to harvest three resources, Celerium, Sylvanite and Ice. Each player takes the part of an agent with a unique ability, and the agents are used to fill rockets and to take control of regions of the planet. Scoring happens after rounds five and eight, when majorities in each region are counted, and the player who controls the most of Mars wins. The game uses area majority and area movement mechanics, takes about an hour and is rated medium in complexity.
