Khronos is a board game for two to five players, designed by Ludovic Vialla and Arnaud Urbon and published by Rio Grande Games. Its central idea is time travel on the board. Players build domains by laying tiles that represent buildings on three game boards, each showing the same area in a different age, and by paying one coin a player can move between those ages. A game lasts seven turns, and players receive money based on the strength of their buildings in the various ages at the end of their fourth and seventh turns. There are three kinds of buildings, military in orange, religious in purple and civil in blue, and each colour is most powerful in one of the three ages. Each building costs a number of correctly coloured cards drawn during play, and that cost is also the number of coins it generates at scoring. Larger buildings built in an earlier age ripple forward onto the later boards, where they can destroy buildings already standing there. In 2006 the game won the Concours International de Créateurs de Jeux de Société award.
