Infinity (wargame)

Modern Conquest and War Games

Infinity, also called Infinity the Game, is a tabletop miniature wargame played with 28mm metal miniatures that represent soldiers and special operatives in a science fiction setting. It was created by Gutier Lusquinos Rodriguez, Alberto Abal, Fernando Liste and Carlos Torres of the Spanish studio Corvus Belli, and its look draws heavily on manga, especially the work of Masamune Shirow. Two players usually face each other across a table about 120 centimeters on a side, each commanding a force of troopers and pursuing a scenario objective such as eliminating the enemy, stealing data or capturing a target. Play runs in rounds made of two alternating turns. The active player spends orders to move and act, while the opponent may react, and dice rolls on a twenty-sided die are resolved against success values with face-to-face rolls that resemble Blackjack. Hidden camouflage markers and a dedicated tournament system set it apart from most miniature wargames.
