Gaslands is a tabletop game of post-apocalyptic car combat written by Mike Hutchinson, illustrated by David Auden Nash and published by Osprey Publishing in November 2017. Players use ordinary die-cast toy cars, such as Matchbox and Hot Wheels models, and race them through a series of makeshift gates while attacking one another, dodging hazards and attempting high-speed manoeuvres. Each round is split into six gears that decide which movement templates a car may use, combat is settled with six-sided dice, and skid dice let a driver change speed or avoid hazards at the risk of losing control. The setting is an alternate history in which Mars was colonised in the 1980s and then defeated Earth, and the gangs race for a ticket to Mars on a television show called Gaslands. A second edition, Gaslands: Refuelled, followed in 2019, and the game won two awards at the UK Games Expo in 2018.
