The Creature That Ate Sheboygan is a science fiction board game published by Simulations Publications Inc. in 1979 and designed by Greg Costikyan. It is a two player game in the spirit of Japanese monster films, in which a creature rises from Lake Michigan to attack the Wisconsin city of Sheboygan. One player designs the monster's destructive powers, and the other commands police, fire fighters and military units trying to stop it. The monster earns victory points for each building it destroys or person it eliminates, and the humans win if they destroy it before it reaches the scenario's threshold. It came as a map, rules, tables and a counter sheet, first in a ziplock bag as the company's Space Capsule number one, and it won the Charles S. Roberts Award for Best Fantasy or Science Fiction Game of 1979.
