Password is a vocal team word game sold as a home board game and based on the television game show of the same name made by Goodson-Todman Productions. All players play at once. One member of each team is shown the same secret word, the password, and the team members holding it take turns giving one-word clues to their partners, who try to guess it. A correct guess scores points for the team, and the points on offer fall with each extra guess it takes. A game runs until one team reaches an agreed total, or until the players have gone through all the words on one pair of cards. Milton Bradley issued the first home edition in 1962, the year after the television series began, and later editions appeared as Password Plus and Super Password and then under Hasbro and Endless Games. It is remembered as one of the most successful boxed games drawn from a quiz show.
