Notable Quotables is a trivia board game from 1990, published by Gamemakers Limited, for three to six players. Its play is very close to that of Trivial Pursuit, and the one real difference is the subject of the questions: every question is built around a quotation said by a famous person. Each question is multiple choice. A player listens to a quote read from the question card with a word or phrase left out, and has to fill in the blank by choosing the correct answer. A session is planned to last around an hour. The game belongs with the quiz and trivia family of party games, where general knowledge and a feel for famous sayings count for more than any strategy about the board.
