Mekton

Role-Playing Games

Mekton is a mecha game franchise published by R. Talsorian Games, beginning with a board game in 1984. The board game was followed by several editions of the first mecha role-playing game in North America, the most recent of which is Mekton Zeta, written in Japanese as Mekton Z. The franchise takes its subject, giant piloted robots in the manner of Japanese animation, and turns it into a tabletop system for building and playing out such machines, with the source describing it as the first mecha role-playing game in North America.
