Legend of the Five Rings Roleplaying Game

Role-Playing Games

The Legend of the Five Rings Roleplaying Game is a role-playing game originally written by John Wick and published by Alderac Entertainment Group in 1997, under license from Five Rings Publishing Group. It uses the Legend of the Five Rings setting, chiefly the nation of Rokugan, which is based on feudal Japan with influences from other East Asian cultures. Like most role-playing games it is played by one or more players and a game master, who controls events and non-player characters, and it features many courtiers and other non-combatant character types as valid player characters. Ownership of the property passed to Fantasy Flight Games in 2015, which released a new game in 2018, and in 2020 Asmodee moved the line to Edge Studio.
