Forbidden Bridge

Race Games

Forbidden Bridge is a children and family roll-and-move adventure board game first published in 1992 by Milton Bradley, a Hasbro brand, and later reissued by Hasbro in 2021. Two to four players take the roles of explorers in the ruins of a lost civilization, each hunting for gleaming ancient gems. The route runs across a winding river, up a cliff and over the centerpiece of the game, a motorized bridge that sways. A towering stone idol guards the bridge and at the press of a button it makes the bridge shake violently, so players may be left clinging to the ropes or dropped into the water. On each turn players try to grab gems and get back to their own camps before rivals or the idol stop them. The shaking bridge and bold plastic components give it a tactile, cinematic feel, and a typical game is about ten minutes long.
